Maintenance of Cable-Stayed Bridge Piers

Following a stepwise approach and utilizing an experienced divers team and advanced subsea robotics systems, BM carried out targeted inspections and maintenance works. The problem areas and locations on the bridge’s pier cones and the Lightning Protection & Earthing Systems (LPES) were identified in the previous years detailed cleaning and inspection works conducted by our Company.

LPES conductor segments and anchoring installations have been successfully replaced in a number of bridge pylons with geometric accuracy and precise alignment, leveraging the synergy between specialized divers and ROVs integrating advanced sensors and intervention tools.

The pier cone walls with identified problems were maintained in accordance with the bridge operator’s specifications and to the highest technical standards. All works were carried out and completed in full compliance with the strictest safety standards, adhering to the bridge operator’s requirements.
